As a 9th Sikh Guru, he revived Sikh centers and laid the foundation for Guru Gobind Singh's Khalsa in 1699

Mughals, under Aurangzeb's orders, arrested him in 1665, but diplomatic relations led his release until his execution in 1675

His execution in Delhi, resulted from his refusal to embrace Islam & to protect Kashmiri Pandits against forced conversion

Gurudwara Sis Ganj & Rakab Ganj, built in 1783, were the place where he was beheaded & cremated respectively

Confusion persists over the date of Guru Teg Bahadur's martyrdom, due to changes in calendars over the years
